SPRINGFIELD – Yesterday, State Representative Jed Davis (R-Yorkville) was appointed to serve on seven House committees: Appropriations: General Services Committee, Appropriations: Health and Human Services Committee, Adoption and Child Welfare Committee, Energy and Environment Committee, Judiciary – Civil Committee, Labor and Commerce Committee, and Mental Health Committee.
“It is an honor to serve on seven critical committees for the 104th General Assembly,” said Rep. Davis. “These appointments provide opportunities for me to focus on fiscal responsibility, protecting our most vulnerable, and helping families and seniors in our communities.”
Rep. Davis has decades of work experience in the private sector as a civil engineer, managing hundreds of millions in public improvements including roadways, sanitary sewer systems, and water works systems. He is also a small business owner and foster parent.
Rep. Davis concluded, “My professional and personal experiences will help me make the best decisions for the people of our state as I serve on these committees. I look forward to continuing my work to put the citizens of Illinois first by promoting common-sense reform and pushing back on radical policies.”
Rep. Davis will remain steadfast in his pursuit of promoting family values, protecting freedoms, and serving the people of the 75th District with integrity.
