SPRINGFIELD – Today, State Representative Jed Davis (R-Yorkville) welcomed Charlene Sligting to the Women to Watch Event in Springfield. The event consisted of a breakfast, listening session, networking lunch, and informational seminar from other women in leadership roles.
“I was honored to welcome Charlene Sligting to the Women to Watch Event,” said Rep. Davis. “Charlene is an incredible part of our community and is a thriving entrepreneur and local business owner.”
Charlene Sligting is a professional photographer and multimedia creator, a national speaker and educator, runs a small business resource group, and owns her own event center, Newark Place.
Rep. Davis concluded, “This event was a great opportunity for Charlene to meet and network with other women leaders from across Illinois. I am honored that such an accomplished woman was able to represent the 75th district at this event.”
Charlene was one of nearly 50 women from across the state who attended this event. The contributions of these women were also honored by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie.
