YORKVILLE – State Representative Jed Davis (R-Yorkville) is kicking off his Summer Reading Challenge for local students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The goal? Read at least eight books before August 15, 2025. Books longer than 150 words count as two.
“I’m a dad, and I know firsthand how easy kids lose momentum over the summer,” said Rep. Davis. “This challenge keeps them sharp and ready for the school year. Plus, it’s fun.”
Every student who completes this challenge receives a certificate along with a free ice cream voucher.
Parents can submit their child’s completed form online at RepJedDavis.com or pick up a paper copy at Rep. Davis’ district office (1925 S Bridge Street, Yorkville) or their local library.
